Chris McCabe was a martial arts student at San Do Jutsu Karate School for approximately 6 years. He achieved the rank of Shi Kyu (Blue Rank). Tragically he was taken away from us on Oct. 27, 2001. This award is presented in his memory.

As a student he displayed hard work, patience, good sportsmanship and a positive attitude. It is these attributes that will be the basis of this award. The award is open to students of all ages, gender and rank.

The Chris McCabe Memorial Award will be voted on by the school's black belts. The award will presented at the Annual Student Appreciation Picnic every year. In the event of a tie, only a maximum of two students can win the award.
